A classic folding stick.  The ash derby handle has been scorched to bring out the interesting pattern of the grain.  The shape of the handle offers excellent support to the hand and may be hooked over the arm when not in use.  The strong and light aluminium shaft is painted a smart metallic coffee brown and folds into four sections. It is height adjustable from 82 to 92cm (approximately 32"-36") in 2.5cm increments.  Overall length when folded is 34cm approx (13.5").  Fitted with a rubber ferrule and smart metal collar. Ferrule diameter 19mm. A smart carrying wallet is included, in a cream, red and brown check with smart brown piping.  It also features a belt loop and an external clear plastic pocket in which the owner's name and address may be displayed.

Super stable, supports my weight and is more than capable of doing some House-esque things like pushing doors open and moving things out of the way, pushing handicap buttons to open doors and more. The only thing I’m not looking forward to is finding brown tips to replace but given that I’ve had it for a week and the tip is still brand new, I’m not terribly worried.

Update!! I have moved across the country, and in my haste, I lost most of my small collection of nice canes I had acquired during my recovery period.

Except for this folding cane. :D
I’ve made new friends, met new people, and had different experiences and in several cases, to my surprise, a cane has been the difference between a pleasant working day, and a complete shutdown of the store I work at.
It has been promoted to part of my carry bag every day. Whether used by myself or another, it has been stable throughout the entire move process and has never been a troublesome item when flying or traveling.
