What is a shillelagh?
A shillelagh is a traditional Irish walking stick, usually made from blackthorn with a knob handle. Today the name covers both short club-style sticks and full-length walking sticks.
Why is blackthorn so prized?
The wood is dense and strong, and its natural knots give every stick its own character.
Is every stick identical to the photo?
No. Blackthorn is a natural wood, so knots, color and bark vary from stick to stick.
What length do I need?
