Somebody has to hold the scissors. When the ribbon goes up and the cameras come out, the object in the frame is the part everyone remembers — and a gold-plated pair says the moment was planned, not improvised.
These are oversized ceremonial ribbon-cutting scissors built for grand openings, groundbreakings, milestone anniversaries and presentations. They are not display props. The blades are sharpened stainless steel and they cut.

Gold reads warmer on camera than nickel and holds more contrast against a red, navy or black ribbon. If the event is press-covered or filmed, this is the pair to order. If the scissors will be handled by several people or reused across multiple sites, the nickel-plated pair hides fingerprints better.
Do they actually cut?
Yes. Sharpened stainless steel blades take ribbon, fabric and ceremonial cord in a single pass. This matters more than it sounds — a dull ceremonial pair gets sawed back and forth in front of a crowd, and that is the footage you end up with. Treat them as real scissors and keep them away from paper and cardboard, which dull an edge faster than anything else.
Frequently asked questions
Is a presentation case included?
No. They ship protected for transit, not in a display case. If you want them mounted afterward, a plaque stand or shadow box from any awards supplier will hold a pair this size.
Can you engrave them?
We do not offer in-house engraving, and we are not going to promise a turnaround we do not control. Order the pair and take them to a local awards or trophy engraver — that is faster and you see the proof before it is cut.
How far ahead should I order?
Two weeks is comfortable. In-stock orders ship in 1–2 business days, so the buffer is for the ceremony moving, not for us. Shipping is free on U.S. orders over $75.
What ribbon should I use?
Four inches wide or more, held taut by two people. Narrow ribbon disappears in photographs, and slack ribbon will not cut cleanly no matter how sharp the blade is.
I need several pairs for simultaneous openings.
