Tips are measured by the inside diameter — the opening that slides onto your cane. Measure across the bottom opening of your current tip (or the base of your cane shaft) and match it:

• 5/8" · slim shafts
• 3/4" · a very common size
• 7/8" · standard aluminum canes
• 1" · heavier / wooden shafts
• 1 1/8" · walkers and larger walking sticks

Buying for a walker? You'll need two pairs (4 tips total) — most walkers use the 1 1/8" size that fits over the shaft (fits the Adult Bronze 2-button walker, item #02824H, for example).
